Verses Used to Clobber
There are only a few passages in the Bible used to "clobber" those who identify as LGBTQ. The best resource is God and the Gay Christian, by Matthew Vines, but many of the other books referenced here review those verses as well. Several of the passages have to do with idolatry and pederasty or the use of young male prostitutes. The Old Testament passages not only speak to the creation of male and female but also recount the episode of a threat to rape visitors and admonishments against behaviors common to temple prostitutes. Doing your own study of these verses, in addition to reading Matthew Vines' well-researched book will help you to feel better informed.
You can find detailed notes on each of the clobber verses from my own personal study which includes references from other books as well.

History of Translations of Arsenokoitai and Malakoi - The translation of controversial words in 1 Corinthians 6 and 1 Timothy 1 have changed many times over hundreds of years. As an example, the NIV originally (1973) used the word "pervert" until this was changed to "homosexual" in 2011.
